The cost of health insurance with Laya Healthcare and GloHealth is to go up by as much as 14% beginning next month.
A Laya spokeswoman forced that merely 1of its plans were impacted in the present round of price increase although the company did also declare its intention to get rid of some of its family-friendly incentives from the start of May.
The cost increases declared by GloHealthcare are more wide-ranging with a major number of its policies affected.
Once the cost increases kick in the month of May affected customers of both contributors will have to pay more from their next renewal date.
The price of adult premiums under Laya Healthcare’s Essential Connect Family plan is to go up from €920 to €1049.92, while kids’ premiums under the similar policy will climb from €204 to €210.12. Young adult premiums will also increase, the Health Insurance Authority stated.
