Baylor College of Medicine physicians treating sufferers at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio have begun agreeing to the Aetna health insurance policies.
As an outcome, kids with Aetna coverage have in-network approach to more than 150 health care contributors at the pediatric hospital. Baylor physicians are agreeing to the Aetna’s commercial policies, Aetna behavioral health coverage, Aetna Better Health of Texas policies and Aetna Medicare coverage.
Aetna is a latest addition to the list of health plans agreed by Baylor physicians. They also agree to the other major insurance policies, like Cigna, UnitedHealthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.
“Having Aetna on board is another significant step in reaching more families who may require a pediatrician or a pediatric sub specialist for their kid,” stated Elias Neujahr, president of the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.
The hospital is a part of the Christus Santa Rosa Health System, and Baylor College of Medicine facilitates as the hospital’s academic partner. Baylor physicians offer various pediatric specialty facilities at the downtown San Antonio hospital, involving blood and marrow transplants, critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, hematology and oncology care, genetics services neurosurgery, sports medicine, sleep medicine, and weight loss management.
